Hi,
to test the range of a chineese scooter, You should make it in Lhasa/Tibet (4.000 meters above sea level) to reduce air drag, with an Yeti (35 kg) above and strong mountain wind from behind..

is simple as that. In Germany the scooter is offered with a range of max. 100km

https://elektroroller-futura.de/shop/el ... oller-robo

if you check youtube, user experience shows, that about 60-70km is possible, under perfect circumstances
Range depends on:

Landscape
Temperature
Tirepressure
Drivers weight

So in fact, it is impossible to reach 135km(max. 80km/h) with a pair of 20ah batteries, And yes, Sunra should know about it

Try to explain it to someone in november 2021 before buying this scooter... maybe if i can only reach the 88MPH with it...
marty-e-doc-sequel.jpg
As you can see in my first comment, there are the two website, the older one back in 2021 with all the "bad data" and the newer one with the same range as in Germany. There have probably been a lot of pain in the ... like me before.

The best thing that I can do is wait for the last email patiently and if things don't improve, we'll see what can be done between resigning myself or asserting my rights.

Thanks for all and goodnight :)

Yes, they move closer to Reality ;)

As I rember, first the Robo S was offered in Germany with more then 100km range (I assume 125km)
Now 100km and in 2 years then 80 km tadaa

I like that scooter anyway, because it is one of a kind

Goodnight and you're welcome :)

To be realistic: a range of +-80km is currently the maximum in this price range (the more with the superb grant of the Italien state). Even with that "lie" it's a fine scooter. Electric motorcycles with a range above 150+km costs twice as much.
Maybe(!) we can buy alternative batteries in a few years for our RoboS with more range.
I´ve done this with my old E-Bike-batteries: There is a company in the Czech republic specialized to renew old batteries for a low price (with actual cells, so the have more capacity)

A little calculation to stay happy:
average Vespa 125:
fuel consumption: 3,33 l/100km
average cost for fuel: 1.80€/l (in Austria as example) so ~6 Euro / 100km
So after 10.000km (you get them faster than you think) : 600 Euros for fuel.

I love DIY project, when the warrenty expires, I'd like to make a battery pack from scratch, but I know that is not so easy.. I have 2 year to think about it.

For me the scooter is superb for ""fuel cost"" saving because at home I have photovoltaic panels and now i'm able to charge it paying nothing, it helps me to save money because I have to manage it by my self.
I'm an Uni student, I teach in high school and I love to be indipendent... that's why I hate the idea that someone had sold me something that it's not like they had sayd, because I worked hard to buy it.

I love this forum because I just learned that I can use the cruise control (I'm not able to use it, probably because it's disabled) and I also find out a german YT channel about Robo-s and how to dismount it without scrap it apart
When I will have time, i'd like to install the dashcam like in my old vespa... because it had saved me from a car accident where I would not have been able to explain that the fault was not mine.
But it's also funny because you can always find funny or crazy people on the road:

I wrote a little "howto" (only in german, but shouldn't be a problem for you to translate, about how to activate/deactivate the cruise control. Another user build a little switch for it instead of the cable jumper. As I only drive in the city (stop, stop, stop and maybe go) I do not like the cruise control at all.

I'm pretty sure you already know the hack with the acceleration (I prefer the fastest response):

HI!
super easy to do!
now I have the cruise control (useful for me... I use as much as possible the ACC n our car) and the robo now can reach quite the 100km/h standing on the easel   and all the speeds more quickly :o
I have to try it on the street.

Thanks Madias!
