You might be over-specifying what you actually need, and it is worth considering whether there is an optimum for you.
Not simply the cost involved (double the price of the one I linked to) but it is bigger and heavier.
So, there are pros and cons.
I have been using the one I linked to extensively, recently. I am not going to advocate for the seller, but it seems quality made.
I like the screen and ease of use. I set it on a timer, for cheaper electricity, so one important thing is whether you have to reset the voltage and current, or whether it remembers the last entry when powered up. This one remembers and stores the last setting for when the timer powers it up. So, it is working perfectly for my need.
The other pro/con is that the more current you demand, the less efficient it is. Even on this unit, just setting higher currents drops the efficiency. As far as my measurements go, it is significantly more efficient (like, 15% more) at 16A than 20A. It is also less efficient at 8A than my existing 'little portable' one, that fits in the 'tank box'.
My only concern with the one I linked is that it is already cumbersome, and it's relatively diminutive at 23cm x 8xm x 12cm or so (I forget exact dimensions). It is already heavy enough and brick-like enough that I fear dropping it with a careless grip, and I don't think it has any impact rating worth even guessing at.
I have a 3 hour cheaper electricity slot over night and I ran at 20A last night, for those 3 hours, to increase from 20% and found it was 80% this morning, completely normal and expected.
I have actually swapped it for the smaller charger after I went to check on it (more expensive electricity now), which has a much more gentle current ramp in the constant voltage (last) phase of charging. This one seems to have quite an aggressive constant voltage phase, I have not noticed it exceeding the voltage but it seems to get through the final stage of charging quicker, for reasons I've not figured out yet.
For me, my lower 8A charger is the best option if I have the time. The original 10A charger I have left at a family member's house when I go visiting there, but I don't think it actually puts out 10A anyway, it seems to take the same time as the 8A I bought to fit the tank box.
The 20A charger delivers enough charge to make a 'flying visit' possible, where I can charge up before heading back home in a short enough time for me to do whatever it was that I went there for.
I'm not seeing a value-for-money need to have faster charging than 20A.
Having 'maximum current capacity' was also my original aim for shopping, but I was not prepared to pay $200 simply to reduce a theoretical charge time by an hour. And I am glad I did not persuade myself, as these higher current chargers are even heavier and bigger than my 20A, and this is already heavier and bigger than I'd really like to carry around with me.
I've also rigged up a plastic bracket to hold the charger under the rear stinger so that I can hang it there for public charging, if the occasion arises, and it fits neatly there. I have tried this out once and it worked out OK, but the protocol was wrong on my plug and I had to call up the operator because the charge point held on to my lead! I will be fixing that. I can post some photos of the setup in due course, if there is interest.
