Hallo,

ich plane mir in den kommenden Wochen ein Elektro-Motorrad zuzulegen. Nun bin ich auf die DAYI E-Odin 3.0 Pro gestoßen und sie erfüllt meine Ansprüche auf dem Papier. Leider findet man recht wenig zu dem Hersteller und dem Modell im Internet. Für mich macht es den Eindruck, als ob dieser Hersteller nicht mehr wirklich in der EU agiert? Ich hätte mir gerne das Modell neu gekauft, aber werde es mir wohl demnächst gebraucht ansehen. Ich habe ein wenig Angst, dass irgendwann etwas an dem Motorrad sein wird und ich dann blöd dastehe. Wie verlässlich ist dieses Modell und kann ich auf eine Werkstatt in Deutschland zählen, die mir im Notfall helfen kann? Ich habe keine Angst irgendwas an dem Motorrad auch selbst zu reparieren, aber ich kenne mich mit Elektrotechnik nicht aus. Würdet ihr aktuell von DAYI wieder ein Motorrad kaufen oder würdet ihr im Jahr 2026 einen anderen Hersteller empfehlen, der sich etabliert hat? Würde gerne maximal 7000 € ausgeben.

Wie man hier verfolgen kann, können nur Hartgesottene und Technikfreaks der E-Odin etwas abgewinnen. Ansonsten: Finger weg, die Karre ist nicht ganz ungefährlich. NIU RQI? E-Kuma Storm? Tinbot?

In der Tat - die Odin würde ich nicht nehmen. Im Nachbarort hat jemand wohl einen Container letztes Jahr gekauft und versucht die an den Mann zu bringen, mittlerweile runter auf 3900€ neu. Problem: für das Geld gibt / gab es die NIU RQi im Abverkauf.
Bei 7K€ hat man eine Menge Möglichkeiten, angefangen beim Gebrauchtmarkt (z.B. RGNT unter 7K€, ist aber angesichts der Neupreise noch zu teuer und gehört auf 5K€ oder weniger heruntergehandelt), bis hin zu Neuware von einem Zweiradhändler mit Gewährleistung und einem Importeur.

hatte neulich einen leichten Sturz, eigentlich läuft soweit alles, nur laden lässt sich das china gerät (hab die 2.0) nicht mehr (hab auch direkt am akku versucht) frag mich wie "stabil" das Ladegerät ist, es ist mir zb mal beim tragen gegen eine wand geschwungen, jetzt nicht volle wucht, aber ich gehe davon aus das es am ladegerät liegt, denn das entladen (fahren) geht ja..

ist 130 euro ein passender preis ? was würde das wohl bei ali-express kosten ? (wenn es da was passendes gibt, es gibt ja entsprechende warnhinweise auch NUR ! das original ladegerät zu nutzen)
bzw hab ich hier im forum auch schonmal was von einem 25a gelesen , gibt es da sowas ?

I can only speak of what I have done.

Quite soon after getting the bike I looked for a spare charger to the original. I mean, if the one you have dies and you wait 2 months for a new one, that is a lot of wasted time. A spare makes sense to me (and I actually now leave the original one at my son's house, in case I forget to take mine when I visit!).

The 10A chargers were expensive. I chose an 8A charger. The logic is that charging takes the whole night time anyway, and there is about 4 hours of balancing too at a few amps to get to 100% (so, this bit is no faster with a higher rate charger). So, it doesn't really make much difference.

I considered looking for the maximum charge rate, which is probably 12A for this BMS. But for the same logic, why bother.

So I got an 8A charger (it has a nice display and variable charging, too). The reasons are;-
- cheaper ($50 instead of $100)
- smaller (I can fit it into the 'tank box')
- charges up basically just as fast in practice

The second reason was actually my original motivation, because I thought if I left a spare in the 'tank box' then I could never forget it. But it seemed to charge just as fast as the 10A in practice, was easier to use, gave me a clear readout, and seems to operate more efficiently (more power out for a given power in/less heat).

My bike has a different charging plug to make it so much easier than the crappy connector they provide. I fitted the matching plug for that.

So, my point is, any 72V/84V lithium ion charger with a suitable ramp off at the end for balancing should be OK, and don't be all caught up on getting the fastest possible charger because it's so slow anyway that it's not like you can do a 'quick charge'. It is a whole-night charge.

From what I have read here, the 3.0 is virtually unserviceable even by technikfreaks.

The advantage the bike has over any 'competition' is that it is very efficient with a relatively large battery, that combination giving a real world range over 150km.

It is why the bike suits me, I do not need speed, I need range. It will keep up with traffic most of the time, and I can go as far as a Zero that has twice the battery.

I had to rebuild my 2.0 motor. It rusted, and I had to remove each magnet and glue them back in. I cannot recommend doing this, so I cannot really recommend the bike. But, if you go into it with your eyes open for the advantage of range, if that is a requirement, then it is your choice.

These days, fuel is so expensive that you might save the whole cost of the bike in 20,000 km, which might be just a year of commuting. No-one can predict if you will own one with no problems, or many problems.

I am looking for a charger that can be set to either 100% or 80%.
I want to charge 80% only most of the time, and once every two months charge up to 100% and let the balancer work.

Ich hab sowas ähnliches von meinem Klon noch rumliegen, ich weiß nur nicht ob die Polung passt? Bei Interesse kannst ja eine PN schreiben

Yes, I also put an order in for one of those, too, but it got cancelled and I just never bothered again. I just charge up the day before I use the bike.

You can get them where you can set both the voltage and current. Obviously, you set a lower voltage to achieve 80%. It will creep up to that voltage, as if it is in the slow constant-voltage phase of charging.

TBH, I did have a worry I might accidentally set it to more than 84V. So, I did not worry much about losing the order when they cancelled it. Like I said, I like my 8A because it is smaller than 10A and fits the tank box.
