Most of us, who received the mail, have already complained about the alarm/anti-theft notifications at questions@niu.com, also at their dealer and some (like me) at the Niu importer.

Again don't wait and see, according to Niu this is a campaign out of goodwill and not an official recall.

Bedeutet das das alle NIU M+ Sport mit Software TRA01C19 dann die ECU v2 haben und damit die Alarmfunktion nicht geht?
Die bekommen dann das Update beim Händler ?

Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass Niu den Antrag ablehnen wird, auch wenn Sie kein indiegogo Niu Unterstützer/Käufer waren.

Habe nun auch an Niu geschrieben und werde heute Kontakt mit meinem Händler aufnehmen bzgl Garantieaustausch der ECU.

Gibt es schon Erfahrungsberichte von der Prozedur vorher>nachher hier? Es würde mich interessieren welche Unterschiede es neben der Alarmfunktion noch gibt? Hat der Austausch der ECU noch weitere Effekte?

nun es würde ja reichen wenn wir hier im Forum irgendeinen der neuen M+ finden, also jemanden der einen M+ mit Herstellung Mai oder später fährt. Der könnte dann berichten.

Vom Austuasch gibt es natürlich keine Erfahrungen. Mein Garantieantrag ist vor einer Woche gestellt worden, aber wenn man die normale NIU-Zeit annimmt, wird es noch viel Wochen wenn nicht sogar Monate dauern bis die ausgetuscht sind und es Erfahrungsberichte gibt.

Am Montagabend habe ich an questions@niu.com bezüglich des Tausches der ECU gemailt, eben diese Antwort per email erhalten:

Hi xxxx

We are indeed offering our early supporters on the M+ scooter the ECU upgrade.

We strive to continiously improve our products, and this resulted in a new version of the ECU to be implemented on the mass production of the M+ earlier this year.


As a sign of appreciation, we decided to offer you a free - under warranty - upgrade to our newest U3 ECU as well. This upgrade will improve notifications and alarm functionality among other improvements.


What should you do now? 

Simply go to your dealer, let him open a warranty claim at the importer and he will be able to replace your ECU with the newest version free of charge.


Mein Händler hat bereits das Ticket erstellt, er meldet sich wenn die neue ECU da ist.
