They need the VIN and the serial# of the old ECU (the first one, V2!). They have already.
The serial# of the new ECU. They have already.
The readings of the H1-Tool.
The latter we unfortunately don't have. Big mistake. If you get the new ECU, let your dealer read it out with the tool and make pictures of it!

I am curious to know what info Niu refers to, which is seen with the H1, because at my 2nd u3 change, the importer did not use the H1.

Yes, we didn't do that, too. After we have seen the GSM-icon and no error 67, we have been too confident, that it should work sooner or later.
But I couldn't connect the ECU, maybe we should have used the H1.
Now Niu asked for it and they can go to sleep again until I've been to my dealer for the fouth time about this issue!

After I just tried again with the URL, I tried again with my mobile with the scan and the first time (after many attempts, maybe 12) I got the first time this message:

I retried and now I'm again at "Waiting for the Data" (for another 10 minutes).
My only clue is now, that the activation is usually confirmed by the server! At the attempt above it failed but usually it seems to be confirmed.

Or should I scan the new ECU from the Niu-app? Does it make sense to try this?

It won't hurt if you try it with your cell phone. With mine, the importer did this with his mobile phone, while at that time he could have chosen his PC as well.
Make sure your scooter has a good LTE reception when you start the procedure.

Es wird nicht schaden, wenn Sie es mit Ihrem Handy versuchen. Bei mir tat der Importeur dies mit seinem Handy, während er damals auch seinen PC hätte wählen können.
Vergewissere dich, dass dein Roller einen guten LTE-Empfang hat, wenn du mit dem Prozedere beginnst.

From Cellphone with a QR-Scanner or with PC with the link seems to be the same. You're endig up at the same URL finally.
What I mean is from the Niu-App. I'm just trying now. It looks similar but I don't see the URL but some Chinese. But still "Waiting for the Data".

Vom Handy mit QR-Scanner oder PC mit der URL scheint alles das gleiche zu sein. Man landet auf der selben URL.
Was ich meinte ist aus der Niu-App heraus. Sieht ähnlich aus, nur statt der URL sehe ich oben Chinesisch. Aber immer noch "Waiting for the Data".

My first assumption was that your dealer was going to load a new BMS firmware, but perhaps your dealer wanted to inform Diana, who is still waiting for a u3.

Besides, do you still drive around with the test battery without any problems?

yeah that was my thought too.. bit of new firmware.. but with the u3 its only over the air I thought..
but no the dealer is aware of my problems, and got a mail from the importer about v2 v3 and u3, with some software versions mentioned in there, so he thought it was all new.. not making the link with the fact that they already installed the u3 with the software version mentioned..
I had to point that out

Ja, das war auch mein Gedanke. Ein bisschen neue Firmware. Aber mit der U3 ist es nur über Funk, dachte ich.
aber nein der händler ist sich meiner probleme bewusst und hat vom importeur eine mail über v2 v3 und u3 mit einigen dort genannten software-versionen bekommen, weshalb er meinte, es sei alles neu.. kein verband machende das sie schon die u3 installiert hatten mit der genannten software version ..Ich musste darauf hinweisen: lol:

yep haben noch die neue Batterie .. und es scheint in Ordnung zu sein .. aber ich mache das nicht viele km .. ich habe den Roller für die Zeiten, in denen das Auto nicht zu Hause ist ..

i did everything from within the app.. scanning of qr too..

make sure the scooter has good gsm reception.. try outside!

Siehe meinen Avatar, auf dem Gehweg neben den parkenden Autos an der Strasse.
Bei meinem Händler war es draussen auf seinem Hof.

even though I lost 11kg body weight!

Ich habe den Eindruck, dass sich mein Akku nach dem Upgrade auf U3 schneller entleert. habe eine 12 km lange Reise gemacht, die 50% der Batterie gekostet hat : o: shock:

Haha, I wrote to Niu (questions@niu.com, Astrid) with reference to your case, Sim activated manually.
I told her, that I know, that they can do it, that they did this before and asked her to do this for my U3, too.
She asked back for the readings of the H1-tool, which we don't have.

I suggest to continue in english only.
This should be ok for the vast majority of the people and if not, online translators are quite good already.

Ich schlage vor, wir machen hier auf Englisch weiter. Die meisten sollten es ja lesen können und wenn nicht (keine Schande!), Google kann das inzwischen ganz gut. Das Englisch ist ja auch recht einfach und klar gehalten, wir sind alles keine Muttersprachler.
Schreibe ich auf Deutsch und lasse es übersetzen, kommt da viel Grütze bei raus weil ich auf Deutsch natürlich im Forum nicht so sauber formuliere. Also korrigiere ich das Englisch, da kann ich es fast selbst schreiben.
