More weatherproofing;

There is a 'hole' in the rear axle where the phase cables go in, I presume this is a route for road spray and dust to pass down the route of the phase cables and make a mess in there.

Mine looks, to me, to be a bit of a mess. The outer protector sheath is creased up, I can't tell how pinched the cables actually are. They have to go around a bend so are going to be pretty tightly wedged in there.

What does your rear axle look like, how do the phase cables enter the axle?

Mine was like this;

and I don't like how that fibre shield is crunched up.

Is it meant to look like that? How does yours look?

I wrapped tape around it to prevent ingress.

I bought self-amalgamating tape specially to do this, and I don't know where it has gone! Grrrrrr... Just electrical tape for now until I find it.

More weatherproofing;

Using 1mm foam (it is what I had) to add a water liner to the relevant parts. I tied it in place with cable ties and a piece of lined foam.

Let me know if you want me to say exactly what I did, but I just put stuff where it seemed to make sense.

Hallo bob2.0,

ich stelle dir mal ein paar Bilder hier rein wie das bei meiner Odin 3.0 aussieht. Kabelführung in den Motor und Abdeckungen im Bereich Stoßdämpfer.

Yes I would like this arrangement, it seems much better for environmental protection, but unfortunately I do not have this motor in my 2.0.

At least the plastic cover underneath the seat of the E-Odin 3 is an improvement.

At my side it's "open" like at bob2.0's Thelmoco* Farsta 6000.
* The former company, that sold the E-Odin 2 in the UK and - as far as I know - went bankrupt later on.

Thanks for the link.

I'd consider installing an upgraded panel if I thought it fixed the issues, but I am not sure I saw a problem caused in the area of those extra structures in the battery box cover you linked to.

On my bike, there were tide marks up the sides and back of the battery box which looked to have made their way on to the top of the battery itself.

The screws holding the phase cables to the inverter are rusty. So is the hinge on the handle of the battery.

I think water has made its way up there.

What I have done is covered the situation in 3 ways;

First, a liner runs from under the battery cables, back past one side of the rear shock, around the current breaker, and back again, to the other side of the battery, and I tucked the liner under all of the wires, both battery cables and chassis wiring. The liner slightly hangs over the side of the battery box either side, so as to help reduce any road spray ingress. I could have, but did not, seal the sides completely as there needs to be some air movement. My objective was to put enough material in the way of a route for dust and water spray that it might help send it back again, but still allow air flow so it can dry out and cool off.

Second, a cross piece in front of the shock.

Those are obvious, but there is a third gap I needed to fill for completeness as there is a gap immediately behind and between the battery box 'container' and the rear shock frame. I did not spot this route for spray ingress until I had closed up those first two areas.

If you look at the photo above you can see all the pieces. The liner around the right of the spring is the long one that goes around the breaker. This is long enough and held by the cables and harness to stay put by itself. The silvered foam holds in place the second piece, with cable ties. Then in front of the frame member, there is a third piece (across the bike) covering this gap to the back of the battery box.

Me to.
Furthermore there are missing parts at our frame, to screw it onto.
